A field of blended color areas, as opposed to the numerous closed forms in the works in Categories 14 and 15, gives cohesion to this series. Wardy increased the number of mediums to create sweeps of color and the quick, sometimes almost calligraphic, colorful gestures upon them. The framed piece demonstrates an effective way to present works that are on canvas board or paper board. Among the developments in this series is a change to black and white with number 18.
Wardy also did a group of large drawings, measuring approximately 6' x 5'. Numbers 19 and 20 show sections of them in two informal photographs.
